WINGS is Kids Creative Power’s Art and Healing Program. Within this program we focus on using the arts as a vehicle of transformation, catharsis, self-exploration and empowerment.
Our WINGS program partners with organizations and licensed social workers servicing children who are experiencing or have experienced some form of crisis and/or trauma.
We design and implement specialized curricula to service the unique needs of each of our clients. Our participants include children of domestic abuse, children with incarcerated parents, youth within the juvenile justice system, and youth who live within at- risk communities. We use creative writing, visual arts, music, dance and performance as tools for sharing personal narratives, inspiring the healing process, and as a means to develop wings.
